Prototype scope
evi.email stores mailbox addresses, message metadata, message bodies, and saved reply drafts needed to show and reply to email. Neon hosts the application database and Resend processes inbound and outbound delivery.
Account data
When the Vercel integration is installed, evi.email stores the Vercel configuration identifier, team identifier, selected domain names, DNS record identifiers and verification status, and an encrypted OAuth access token. Tokens are never sent to the browser.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address encrypted, a keyed identifier to prevent duplicate entries, and when you agreed to receive launch and early-access updates. Authorized operators can decrypt addresses to contact the waitlist. We also use short-lived, keyed identifiers to limit abusive submissions. Joining does not create an account or verify ownership of the address.
DNS automation
evi.email uses the authorized Vercel API connection to add the DNS records required by Resend. It checks for conflicts first and does not automatically replace or delete existing DNS records.
Retention and deletion
This prototype does not yet include self-service retention controls. Before public availability, installations will receive configurable retention and deletion workflows.
